My organization,The Technical College ”Toma N.Socolescu” is in fact a public/ government high-school,where approximately 1,700 pupils (aged 15-20) are educated and trained  to become  construction technicians,designers in furniture,sanitary technicians. Our students are also interested  in theoretical subjects as natural sciences,mathematics,natural resources and environment 's protection, in developing their technical competences of information and communication ( ITC),as well . The deserving activity of the college is permanently developed, which is seen from the continously growing number of classes, the permanent improvement of instructive and formative activity,the diversification of professions and the forms of education(for the adult pupils which are employed and need extra opportunity to learn and graduate from high -school, we are also organizing evening classes).

Our college doesn't have all the trump cards to answer the social needs of the students, suffering with real adaptive and financial problems (with parents working abroad,suffering from poverty)but is making tremendous efforts to be a strong pillar of the Romanian school,with a  modern European view on education.Thus, our institution is  involved in several LLP programmes,Etwinning projects,Leonardo da Vinci programmes, Comenius Individual Mobilities,Grundtvig Workshops etc.,but is also developing a lot of  local/ national extracurricular activities that engage the students in meaningful activities able to offer them the possibility to express themselves in a variety of ways, helping them to become European Citizens with independent personalities.
